Simulators are primarily learning tools and at WSC, we’re committed to providing world-class training simulators complemented with training modules. These state-of-the-art simulator provides the means to educate, recruit, and attract a new generation of engineers to the nuclear industry.


Integrating industry simulators into a LMS

Classroom simulators are designed to easily integrate with a curriculum and provide industry tools to the students. WSC’s various teaching tools can all be integrated into existing online Learning Management Systems, such as Blackboard, Brightspace, or Canvas. WSC also can provide a complete web-based training package using this Moodle LMS site.


Intelligent Tutoring System

WSC’s Intelligent Tutoring System (or ITS) lessons can cover highly advanced operations and plant transients without the need for instructor supervision. ITS is an automated system that walks a student through an operation and then allows the student control to perform the steps. The lesson features voiced audio and can automatedly test students’ proficiency.

Plant Simulators on the Cloud
 
A variety of ready to use generic power plant simulators are available online. Including full scale fossil, nuclear, solar, wind and grid options. Students can perform complete plant startups, shutdowns, and abnormal plant transients.
Online WSC Training Courses
 
Courses on using WSC's 3KEYMASTER tools and environment are available online. Each course has an interactive simulator, voiced videos, quizzes, and documentation manuals. Learn how to model systems in Flowbase, or a wiring diagram in the Logic tool. Using the Discrepancy Report system on WSC's website is also taught.
Power Industry Courses
 
WSC training courses allow power plant personnel to improve their simulator and general plant knowledge. From introductory concepts such as basic component operations can be covered to expert topics like analyzing historical accidents, human factor engineering, and cascading failures.
Cloud based classrooms
 
Instructors can lead cloud based simulator classes worldwide. Each student can follow along and uses their own copy of the lesson simulator. The instructor can monitor students progress and can pause and resume a lesson from where the class left off. Lesson plan development is made simple with our graphic design package that provides users with the tools necessary for the creation of lesson plan content
